Congratulations!!

Way to go boys! The Box tops/Labels for Education contest was a hit. The boys ran away with it, winning 2,859 to 2,096. As a result, the boys have earned a non-uniform day on Friday, January 27th. Thanks to everyone who took the time to save up and turn in the labels.




Book Sale

Our used book sale will be taking place in March to coincide with with March is Reading Month.  We have approximately 400 books that will be available for a quarter each.  Dates and times will be announced later.  Volunteers may be needed, so please contact Kerri if you're interesed in helping.



Scrip Update

So far, the Scrip program has raised a total of $332.30.  $266.50 of that is going to 3rd grade camp, $35.25 to the PTO, and $30.55 to 5th grade camp.  The due dates for turning in orders are:

-February 9th
-March 8th
-April 12th
-May 17th (extra week because of last order)
Our current balance is $8009.46.

Remember, if writing checks, please make them out to "Oakland Academy PTO"

January 26th - Jungle Joes night from 5-7pm
January 27th - End of semester/report cards sent home
February 14th - PTO meeting @ 8:30 AM
February 20th - No school due to President Day

February meeting

With next month's meeting day failling on Valentine's Day, we have decided to hold the meeting in the morning. Hopefully. this will allow some parents to make it who might not be able to attend the nightly meetings. The meeting will start at 8:30am, so you can drop your kids off and hang around for the meeting.
