On Wednesday, March 7th Oakland Academy will head to Wings Stadium to cheer on the Kalamazoo Wings and celebrate March Is Reading Month.

The presale ticket cost is $3 per person.  (This field trip is cash only). Anyone wishing to meet our group at the game will have to pay full price ($12-14).  Money and chaperone form is due no later than Wednesday, February 1st.  This will provide us enough notice to provide Wings front office an accurate count for group seats. Sorry but after this date we will no longer be able to accept additional chaperones.

Studetns and chaperones are responsible to bring a bag lunch to eat during the game. Doors open at 9 a.m. and face off is at 10:30 a.m. We need to leave Oaklalnd Academy by 9:15a.m. so we can participate in some of the pre-game festivities. We will return to school at the completion of the game.

Valentine's Party
Our Valentine's Party will be on Tuesday, February 14th in the afternoon.  We will be exchanging Valentine cards, enjoying treats and a video.  If you would like to send a treat with your child, see the attached sheet.  A class list for Valentines is attached.  We are going to have a great time!

PTO NEWS!!!

Check out our pictures!
Dear Parents,

We want to inform you of the progress our students made during the 2010-2011 school year. We constantly review each student's learning progress to be certain that we are "on track." One way we do this is by employing a widely used and nationally validated achievement test. This test is administered throughout the United States to hundreds of thousands of children annually, both at the beginning, and again at the end of the school year.

Our students have completed the spring test and we can now judge
the results of our students' and out teachers' efforts this school year.

Our charts demonstrate the results in greater detail.

We welcome others to join us for the 2011 - 2012 school year!
