3,000 Innovative Educators To Fill Cobo Center Nov. 3 & 4

Dynamic keynote speakers, 140 professional development sessions and prestigious awards fill two-day charter schools conference

Detroit, MI – The largest gathering of charter school professionals in the nation is set to take place in Detroit as Michigan’s 11th Annual Charter Schools Conference will convene in Cobo Center on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday November 4.

Nearly 3,000 teachers, school leaders and other professionals from among the state’s 230 public charter schools will participate in professional development seminars and workshops, networking and team-building during the annual conference.

Keynote speakers for this year’s conference are Joe Martin, “The Education Motivator” and founder of RealWorld University, who will speak at lunch on Monday; and Ron Clark, Disney’s American Teacher of the Year, and founder of Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, who will speak at lunch on Tuesday.

Another highlight of the annual conference is recognition for top charter schools, administrators and teachers.  Finalists for this year’s awards, which will be announced on Tuesday, are:
